Aloha ʻOe

In like two weeks Jared and I will be moving back to Utah. The last couple of days I've been reflecting over the last eight or so months and the good memories and great friends we have made here in Hawaii. Jared and I spent our first Thanksgiving here together:

And our first Christmas together:

And Birthdays:

And I have loved our beach days, laying in the sun, playing in the waves, going on hikes, snorkeling trips, parasailing, watching his soccer and basketball games at the school, walking to church together, ward potlucks, going to foodland (the town grocery store), our nightly walks to the temple grounds, watching the sunset, and other random things.

We've had so many great opportunities and experiences here and I'm getting a little sad to leave it all behind. Last Sunday was our last week in our ward here and they sang to us "Aloha ʻOe," which kind of a "good-bye" song:

Aloha ʻoe, aloha ʻoe
E ke onaona noho i ka lipo
One fond embrace,
A hoʻi aʻe au
Until we meet again

Farewell to you, farewell to you
The charming one who dwells in the shaded bowers
One fond embrace,
'Ere I depart
Until we meet again

I'm excited to move back to Utah and be with old friends and family again. But I am so sad to leave behind this beautiful Hawaii and all the people we have met here. This place will always be a part of me. My second home. Aloha

OMG! I'm making a blog!!

Wow, so everyone has been telling me, "you're married now, you need to start a blog!" so here I am! I'm pretty new at this blogging thing, but so far it's been so fun. Being in Hawaii, i don't see or talk to my Utah friends and family as much as i used to, so this will be a fun way to keep updated. So much has happened the last seven or eight months, i'm excited to talk about the adventures of Jared and Jenny. So here we go...
